SOLBERG^® DEFENDER 1919

SOLBERG^® DEFENDER 1919 foam concentrate is a synthetic, readily biodegradable Class A firefighting foam concentrate and wetting agent specially formulated to make water more effective. SOLBERG DEFENDER 1919 provides a cost-effective solution for municipal, industrial, and wildland firefighters tackling structural, wildland-urban interface, and other Class A fires.

The advanced surfactant formulation significantly reduces water’s surface tension, improving its ability to wet and penetrate Class A fuels. When mixed with air, the foam adheres effectively to surfaces, providing rapid cooling and extinguishment. As the foam drains, the solution penetrates deep-seated materials to provide faster penetration and improved fire control compared with water alone. This supports quicker knockdown, more effective mop-up, and overhaul operations on fires involving wood, paper, coal, rubber, tires, and other ordinary combustible materials.

SOLBERG DEFENDER 1919 can be proportioned from 0.1% to 1.0% using fresh water and is compatible with conventional firefighting equipment, compressed-air foam systems (CAFS), and on-board proportioning systems. It is siloxane-free and contains no intentionally added PFAS, fluorosurfactants, fluoropolymers, organohalogens, PFCA, PFOA or PFOS.
