Perimeter Solutions’ PHOS-CHEK® and FIRE-TROL® fire retardants help slow, stop and prevent the start of wildfires by making wildland fuels non-flammable. For more than 60 years, the people of Perimeter Solutions have been technology leaders in the arena of long-term fire retardants developed for a range of applications.
Aerial retardants are applied via fixed or rotor wing aircraft. PHOS-CHEK fire retardants are also applied from the ground in active fire settings, in conjunction with prescribed burns, or as a preventive measure well in advance of any fire situation. All Perimeter Solutions products have a high level of fire retardant effectiveness, with differences in visibility, viscosity, adherence to vegetation, and durability through weathering.
PHOS-CHEK fire retardants are fully qualified by the USDA Forest Service under specification 5100-304c. They are the safest, most effective, and environmentally friendly products available. Long-term retardants are offered in red iron oxide, fugitive (disappearing) color, and uncolored. Products are available in medium and low viscosity, and as powder and liquid concentrates. FIRE-TROL brand long-term fire retardants have been the standard in Europe for over 30 years. FIRE-TROL 931 for aerial application and FIRE-TROL 934 and 936 for ground application are highly effective for the control and suppression of wildland fires.
Services & Equipment
Perimeter Solutions supports our long-term fire retardants with a broad range of service and equipment solutions. This includes a complete line of mixing systems for all PHOS-CHEK products. Systems range from small scale Hopper Mixer Systems designed to use 50-pound pails of powder to large scale eductors, batch mixers and liquid blender systems. Systems can be fabricated and customized for a particular need. In support of firefighting operations, PHOS-CHEK personnel are fully National Wildland Coordinating Group (NWCG) trained and fire ground certified.
